General Summary
The District Manager (DM) is responsible for leading their district in creating the best first and lasting experience for every customer to ensure long-term loyal customers. Consistently instills in the team an expectation for delighting allof our customers.
The District Manager is responsible for driving sales, profit and effective shrink results within their district; and develop and manage their staff of Store Managers (SMs). Central to this role is accountable for the financial, operational and management performance of these stores.
Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Execution
DMs scope of responsibility is between 10 - 16 stores with multi-million dollar sales volume
Responsible to reinforce selling behaviors in stores Teammates
Responsible to drive sales and get results through others
Responsible to reinforce 100% customer satisfaction and ensure consistent execution and compliance of company standards and programs throughout the District
Responsible to be an effective participant in project teams assigned
Responsible to recruit and retain top talent using online recruiting and onboarding processes
Conduct quality store visits (90% of visit focuses on sales, people and visual), based on Company standards and provide written assessments, which identify strengths, opportunities and agreed-upon follow-up actions
Responsible to maintain and reinforce compliance of all organizational policies, procedures and processes
Leadership
Responsible to recruit, develop and train approximately 10-16 Store Managers
Drive effective leadership through participation in any project team(s) she/he is assigned to
Monitor the quality and quantity of the Store Manager and identify strengths and opportunities
Develop succession plans for the District to maintain bench strength
Work cross-functionally with Home Office, Field and Distribution teams
Effectively manage multi-unit retail sub-district
Manage sensitive matters and maintains a high degree of confidentiality effectively

High EQ
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Minimum of 3-4 years of retail management experience; multi-unit experience a plus
Successful track record in sourcing, assessing, selecting, training and retaining a quality team
Proficient at MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experienced in various web-based and online programs Working Conditions
Ability to travel 50%+ of the time and relocate within the U.S.
