We’re looking for a VP of Operations

ThinkCERCA is a platform designed to provide support for growth for everyone from students to teachers across subject areas, to district leaders. We are excited to grow our footprint! We are looking for a team member to help us support our internal processes and help us execute on gaining and supporting more customers.

The role will evolve quickly to overseeing key departments across a growing team.

Here’s who we're looking for:

If you were to join the team, here are some of the things you would be doing:

  • Defining, implementing, and revising operational policies and guidelines for the organization
  • Developing and executing new growth initiatives
  • Working with the team to hire new members as needed, including developing new position descriptions, vetting applicants/ensuring that our hiring practices are aligned to our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. 
  • After hiring, the Director of Operations would ensure that the new team members are well-trained and know where to go when they have new learning needs
  • Working with the executive team to ensure that we have a strong system in place for continuing to attract, develop, and retain team members, including developing team evaluation parameters
  • Liaising with departmental heads to develop financial plans and ensure company-wide operational efficiency, compliance, and execution of growth goals
  • Keeping track of the company’s revenue margins and conducting budget reviews to maximize profits
  • Overseeing client support services
  • Managing procurement and resource allocation
  • Liaising with partners, including finance partners and our board of directors
  • Supporting team members in developing strategic plans, negotiations, and financial models

Here are some other things we are looking for:

  • College degree required, advanced degree preferred
  • Accounting and finance experience preferred
  • Experience as an operator or a consultant a plus
  • Administrative experience at the school or district level is a plus
  • Excellent written, and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent analytical and pragmatic problem-solving abilities 
  • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels Strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Strong computer skills with a proficiency in Salesforce, Quickbooks, the Google suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • An entrepreneurial drive that leads to innovation and growth for the team
  • Interest in tech innovation
  • A sense of humor

  • Have worked at another startup that has scaled
  • You have the technical skills to support smaller business intelligence integrations
