Job Brief:
The Oracle Database Administrator creates, maintains, and improves databases in a complex, distributed server environment. Ensures database design is effective, secure, and reliable in order to meet APS's needs, Mentoring DBAs, and Working on complex database solutions. Install / Maintain Oracle DB, Perform OnCall Support, Patch/Upgrade, Performance tuning, Database Design, Requirements Gathering, Database Monitoring, Shell Scripting.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- DB with Splunk experience
- Must have experience with Oracle, SqlServer, MySQL
- Should have handled DB's over 20TB size at a minimum.
- Grid Control, Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Oracle ASM and CRS
- Expert in Oracle performance tuning
- Experience in data visualization tools such as Delphix
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value of varied perspectives.
- Respond and provide end-user support for all Oracle users and system issues.
- Manage the Oracle environment, including configuration, security requests, and modifications.
- Suggest and implement best practices for the Oracle platform
Technical Skills and Tools Must:
- Oracle, SqlServer, MySQL, PLSQL
- Experience in Apache, SPLUNK is a must
- Strong technical knowledge of Oracle configuration and best practices.
- Ability to understand customer problems and provide technical solutions in a timely manner.
- Strong adherence to process and being a process champion.
- Ability to work well in a demanding customer environment.
- Experience with data measuring, analytics, and reporting.
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $60.00 - $75.00 per hour
