Director, Marketing Insights

Our partner in Arlington, VA, is seeking a Director, Marketing Insights. The role involves supporting the leadership position through data analysis and insights generation to optimize marketing strategies. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this position requires managing a team to collect relevant data and deliver actionable insights for enhancing marketing campaigns and overall business performance.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement customer-focused marketing insights strategies and plans

Build and lead a team focused on marketing analytics, market research, and competitive intelligence

Assess insights usage across markets and establish standards and best practices

Lead collection, analysis, and interpretation of marketing data including customer behavior and campaign performance

Aggregate internal data for cross-channel reporting efforts

Set internal data measurement guidelines for quality and accuracy

Translate data into actionable insights for marketing strategy and decision-making

Design and implement market research initiatives for customer feedback and competitive intelligence

Establish and maintain customer segmentation models

Monitor competitor and market activities for opportunities and threats

Collaborate with other Marketing functions and teams for alignment and execution of strategies

Create regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and presentations communicating key insights

Stay updated with data analytics and digital tools for enhancing efficiency

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in marketing, statistics, data science, analytics, computer science, or related field; MBA preferred

15 years of marketing analytics or market research experience in a global organization

Preferably experience in the energy or relevant business-to-business industry

Strong analytical and data interpretation skills

Strategic problem-solving abilities with strong organizational and project management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in marketing tools and analytics platforms

Knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques

Leadership and team management experience
