I have multiple positions open, 2 located just north of Houston running flatbed / step-deck hazmat. Drivers must go through Landstar Safety on boarding process.
I have 2 hazmat reefer positions that can be based in CA,AZ,NM,
Job Summary
- Contract Driver (1099, Solo)
- Refrigerated, Tanker trailer, Hazmat tanker and Flatbed trailer
- $1,500 - $2,250 gross total weekly avg. pay
- $0.50 - $0.75 CPM
- 2,500 - 3,000 avg. miles per week
- Line Haul
- No Driver Load / Unload
- 25% tarping
- Uniforms required
- No slip seating
Home Time
- 14 - 21 expected days out
- You can stay out longer if you want to
- Get 2 days of home time for every 7 days worked
- No guaranteed weekends home
Core Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Inspection of vehicle, equipment, and cargo to ensure everything is safe, legal, and secure.
- Submitting customer paperwork and deposits including invoices, load orders, and handheld reports.
- Maintaining a driver's log in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Daily customer interactions and maintaining good customer relations.
- Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
Orientation Details
- Offers paid orientation
- Does not cover accommodation
- Drivers get their own room
- No meals are included
Hiring Requirements
- Class A license without any of the following restrictions : (L,Z) Air Brakes, (G) Night Driving, (O) No Semi Trailer or (K) Intrastate Only
- Must have (X) Tank Vehicles / Hazardous Materials endorsement at time of hire
- 2 years Tractor Trailer experience
