Assistant Manager
- Support Practice Manager in the day-to-day operations of the office.
- Directs Supervisors engaged in admin/clinic operations.
- Read the ledger, assist with directing billing concerns.
- Address patient concerns/complaints.
- Builds relationships of trust and advocates the needs for the Doctor(s), staff and the Company.
- Provides performance management with direction of the Practice Manager.
- Assists in developing and maintaining new policies and procedures for the office.
- Prepares operational reports and reviews schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Recommends cost saving methods to improve efficiency of the office.
- Supports the Practice Manager to identify and resolve concerns regarding services to customers.
- Participates in office work with team members to facilitate productivity and customer service to overcome difficult aspects.
- Ensures compliance with applicable government laws, rules, regulations, and Company policies and procedures.
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Education Requirements:
- HS Diploma required; College Degree preferred; COA/COT/COMT Certification preferred
Minimum Experience Requirements:
- 1-3 years in leadership/management role
- Ophthalmology experience strongly preferred
A combination of experience, education, and/or training which substantially demonstrates the
following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of HIPAA guidelines
- Knowledge of diagnostic codes, billing codes and filing claims
- Ability to manage and work with a Customer Service attitude and polite telephone etiquette
- Proficient in MS(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet)
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Able to lead and manage staff (co-workers)
- Aptitude with mathematical functionality (budgets, ledgers, financial reporting)
- Self-motivated, disciplined, driven, focused, observant
- Proactive, takes initiative, attention to detail, a problem solver
