Job Description:
Full time Surgical Dental Assistant needed for our Periodontal Dental Practice. We are a fun dental office working a 4 day work week. We need a team player who puts their dental patients first.

Job Responsibilities:
Understand oral health needs in regard to periodontal disease
Update patient's medical history, take blood pressure, be aware of red flags on health history and medications
Perform comprehensive periodontal evaluations with the doctor using Eaglesoft Dental Software, periodontal charting, detailed notes from dental procedures, and treatment plan presented to front desk
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Use of Trio scan and digital radiography
Educate the patients on why treatment has been recommended
Basic sterilization knowledge as well as OSHA/ HIPAA guidelines
Uncover alerts that may affect treatment plans to the treatment coordinator or require medical consults to be requested
Understand post-operative healing to complete post-surgical checks
