Job Posting for Oral Surgery Front Office Assistant at Thomas L. Bowers, IV, DMD, MD, PA
Well established Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery practice in search of an additional Front Office Assistant to add to our current team.
Successful candidate must be patient centered and enjoy working in a quality focused, friendly environment.
Prior medical and/or dental insurance experience is highly preferred; however, will train a motivated candidate to excel in their position on our team.
Competitive salary that is commensurate with candidate's training and experience.
Full-time preferred/part-time applicants will be considered.
Responsibilities include
Greet patients upon arrival and assist with completing health questionnaires.
Answer telephone and appoint patients and address their questions.
Communicate with referral offices sharing patient information to facilitate optimal and timely care.
Collect patient insurance information and complete predetermination documentation for medical and dental treatment plans.
Utilize software to accurately submit medical and dental insurance claims.
Assist with insurance appeals process.
Seat and obtain vital signs and review health histories with new and established patients.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care instructions.
Assist Oral Surgeon in maintaining accurate patient records.
Skills
Excellent communication and people skills
Experienced front desk assistant and/or insurance management is preferred.
Basic Computer skills including use of Electronic Appointment, Practice Management, and Word Processing Software.
CPR (required for all office staff members)
Understand and comply with established health & safety and privacy regulations
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
