- JOB SUMMARYThe Clerk-Typist plays a critical role in the delivery of quality health care to Imaging Services patients by accurately and efficiently organizing and maintaining all Imaging Services patient records. They also play a critical role in the Thomas Memorial Hospital mission in their role of providing quality reception and phone service to patients, physicians, and the Thomas Memorial Hospital community.

- High school graduate or equivalent
- LICENSURE
- N/A
- EXPERIENCE
- Prefer candidate to have previous reception, filing, and telephone experience.
- Medical terminology would be helpful.
- Medical Imaging experience would be of benefit.
- Any previous computer experience would be of benefit.
- CERTIFICATION
- N/A
- COMPUTER/TYPING/MATH SKILLS
- Must have typing skills of at least 25 words per minute.
- Previous basic computer experience would be helpful.
- Basic Typing/keyboarding skills (25 wpm minimum) are required.
- Prefer individual with previous experience using Hospital and Radiology Information systems, however, will train individual for the hospital and imaging computers.
- JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to communicate verbally with all hospital contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
- Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram or schedule form.
- Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables where only limited standardization exists.
