Fleet Manager

Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Fleet Manager for a local client in New Castle, DE.

Job Duties:

• Serve as primary contact for all vehicle fleet and operation needs.
• Coordinate purchase of vehicles as needed to expand and/or enhance the company fleet.
• Maintain database of current vehicles and trailers on company software and portal.
• Maintain maintenance schedules on vehicles and work with drivers to get services completed.
• Manage vehicle registrations as required.
• Analyze current assets to determine when retirement and upgrades are needed.
• Ensure all drivers have proper licensure and clearance, including any required training.
• Monitor drivers to ensure proper driving practices and vehicle upkeep.
• Audit all vehicles and operators to ensure everyone is abiding by company guidelines.
• Additional duties, as required.

Qualifications:

• Project a professional demeanor at all times through appearance and behavior.
• Clean driving record.
• 3 years working in industrial construction, ideally civil and electrical work preferred.
• Mechanical skills are a plus.

Experience Requirements:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel.
• Effective written, oral, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving and strong critical thinking skills.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to meet deadlines and work the necessary time needed.
• Ability to work with a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires prolonged sitting.
• Requires frequent operation of office equipment, such as a computer, copy machine, telephone, etc.
• Occasional standing and walking required.
• Ability to travel to multiple job sites, when needed.
