What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Unit Coordinator / Nurse Aide position at Thompson Health?
Main Function:
The Surgical Care Center Health Unit Coordinator’s duties will include the provision of secretarial and patient care support to SCC and PACU, and to facilitate communication among the Director, Perioperative Services, Nurse Leader, nursing staff, surgeons, physician office staff, patients, families and hospital departments by accurately transmitting messages, explaining scheduling procedures and producing/handling documentation and medical record.
Required Job Specific Competencies:
- Excellent customer service skills are required
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a calm, professional manner.
Qualifications:
- CNA Certification preferred.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical terminology course preferred
Experience:
- Previous experience in a clinical setting as a secretary, aide, or scheduler with established computer skills and experience.
Pay Range: $17.90 - 21.00 per hour
Starting Pay: Based on experience
