COMPENSATION: $65,000-$150,000 annually!

Thompson and Thompson Service Group is seeking a skilled Excavation Lead to join our Plumbing Department. The Excavation Lead will play a pivotal role in excavation projects related to plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance. This individual will be responsible for coordinating excavation tasks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining high-quality standards.

What will your job look like?

• Lead excavation projects from start to finish
• Conduct excavations for plumbing installations, repairs, and replacements as per project requirements
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on all excavation sites to mitigate risks and promote a safe working environment
• Maintain high-quality standards in excavation work, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards
• Oversee the maintenance and proper usage of excavation equipment, ensuring functionality and safety at all times
• Effectively communicate with team members and managers to coordinate activities and address any concerns or issues
• Identify and resolve any challenges or obstacles encountered during excavation projects, employing creative solutions to ensure success

What do you need?

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in excavation work, including plumbing, digging with equipment and proper backfill – Lining experience a plus!
• Must have, and maintain, a valid U.S. Driver’s license
• Proficient in operating excavation equipment and machinery, with a solid understanding of excavation techniques and best practices
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, with knowledge of excavation safety regulations and protocols
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and managers
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions
• Any relevant certifications/licenses for excavation work
