Summary:
We are seeking an analytical and financially adept Business Analyst to join our team. This multifaceted role integrates the responsibilities of interpreting data through advanced analytics and translating financial insights into actionable business strategies. With strong expertise in BI tools and financial analysis, the candidate will craft tailored solutions that align business goals with financial objectives. Collaborating with technical and business stakeholders, the Business Analyst will play a vital role in propelling organizational success, overseeing financial compliance, and delivering profound insights that contribute to informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will be characterized by a blend of technical proficiency and financial acumen, bridging the gap between data-driven insights and sound fiscal management. This is a hybrid role, based out of our Frederick, MD Corporate Office.
Essential Job Duties:
- Translate financial insights and data-driven findings into actionable strategies, advising leadership on informed planning and improvement.
- Utilize BI tools to interpret complex data, extracting insights that support business and financial decision-making.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, aligning findings with business strategies.
- Gather and integrate data from various sources, ensuring that business goals are aligned with financial objectives.
- Apply techniques to clean and validate data, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial standards.
- Collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders, serving as a bridge between data analytics and financial management.
- Design and create visual reports, graphs, and dashboards that present analytical and financial results aligned with business needs.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation detailing data processes, methodologies, financial policies, and procedures.
- Analyze market trends and competitor financials to inform and influence strategic business initiatives.
- Offer guidance and training on BI tools, financial reports, and related systems to ensure effective utilization across the organization.
- Stay current with the latest technologies, financial regulations, and industry best practices, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge in the field.
Education and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred but not required.
- At least 2 years of finance experience, primarily in an FP&A/Operational Finance function

Experience: 5 years of experience in data analysis, BI tools, or related field.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
