As the Controller, you'll be responsible for the accounting operations of the company. This responsibility includes the production of periodic financial reports, the maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets that are designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results.

Job Duties:
- Manage the company's accounting operations, maintain fiscal records and prepare financial reports.
- Develop, implement, and maintain credit and collection systems and practices to meet business needs while managing risk and maximizing cash flow.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting package and other related reports.
- Oversee the payables and receivables.
- Participate in the month-end and year-end closing process.
- Work with suppliers as it relates to payables and with our distributors as it relates to collections.
- Serve as main contact with the outside CPA firm and help prepare the year-end audit and tax workpapers of company accounts.
- Manage expenses to achieve company financial objectives, approving major expenditures and continuously exploring means of reducing expenses.
- Manage, utilize and motivate staff to efficiently meet goals and objectives of the department.
Experience:
- Proven and successful accounting & finance team leadership experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience.
- Hands on experience in the various aspects of accounting functions (strong debits & credits).
- Entrepreneurial business mindset.
- Experience working with Sage 100 / MAS 90 accounting system is a plus, but not a must.
- Manufacturing industry experience is nice to have, but not a must.
- CPA designation is a plus, but not a must.
