Scope of Work
- Primary focus is to bid & estimate commercial and state projects
- Review specifications and plans to determine proper project needs and create detailed estimates
- Identify parts of a project that may be key to making a competitive estimate
- Maintain all working documents and data to back-up estimate figures
- Draft scope and proposal letters for bid and negotiated projects
- Provide take-off type quotes from drawings, plans or electronic files using programs approved by management
- Estimate all qualified opportunities
- Maintain a quote log for accurate record keeping including win/loss
- Plan and execute estimating strategy as defined by management
- Attend and collaborate with team members during weekly meetings
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience as an ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR is required
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and applicable local codes required
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and contract documents
- Highly motivated with a desire to be successful
- Proficient with Microsoft programs; Word, Excel, Outlook
- Possess both written and verbal communication skills to communicate efficiently and interact professionally with management, clients and employees, building relationships based on trust and rapport
- Track record of strong performance and achievement of goals
- Strong math skills, organizational skills and ability to multi-task
