JOB POST: Accounts Payable/Finance Specialist
Accountability: The individual in this position reports to the Assistant Finance Director (AFD). May also take direction from the CFO.
Job Requirements
This position requires an individual with:
●Experience and demonstrated competency with computerized accounting systems.
●The ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy.
●Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work productively within a team environment.
●Complete understanding and respect for the extremely confidential nature of Finance Office business
Performance responsibilities
Tasks for this position include but may not be limited to:
●Prepare bi-weekly payments of all invoices and check requests.
●Accept and process funds for deposits.
●Assist with processing of accounts receivable.
●Process accounts activity related to the daily school nutrition program (“school lunch”), including the free/reduced meal program.
●Maintain all vendor files and resolve billing issues with vendors.
●Prepare year-end reports.
●Cooperate with the external auditor, provide relevant documentation for accounts payable.
●Reconcile various student activity accounts with faculty, coaches and student activity advisors.
●Review and reconcile school credit card accounts.
●Independently execute special projects, research and assignments as required for efficient operation of the Business Office
●Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
●Experience and/or training in business accounting.
●Associate’s degree preferred
