Site Safety Representative
Job Posting for Site Safety Representative at Three Rivers Corporation
Primary Function: Assists in the overall administration of project safety, accident and fire protection programs to maintain a safe work environment. Maintain complete documentation of all safety data required by law, company policy, and client safety organization.

- Conduct and document weekly work area surveillance inspections.
- Conduct safety training programs.
- Accompanies safety, health and insurance inspectors on walk-through tours.
- Document all accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions, etc. and follows up with corrective actions.
- Maintain safety data to comply with laws and policies.
- Review incidents and unplanned events at weekly safety meetings.
- Keep current, through continuous training and research, on all procedures in the safety field.
- Recommend procedure modifications/changes.
- Communicate weekly with Safety Director regarding safety activities.
- Continuous professional development
- Consistent on-site attendance is a requirement of the job. Requires some travel within the State of Michigan, and remote field assignments are not anticipated.

Qualifications:
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
- Ability to operate workstation and related MS Office software – Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to communicate effectively both in written format and oral presentation.
- Ability to motivate and set excellent example for others with respect to safety.
Education and/or Experience
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- Certificate of Completion of 40 hours of formal Site Safety Training
- 2-4 years related experience in occupational safety
Language Skills
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general construction equipment manuals, blueprints, and related materials.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of peers, managers.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee regularly required to stand; walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee is regularly exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at office and construction job sites. The noise level at job sites is usually loud.
