Public Health Nurse

Three Rivers District Health Department is recruiting a self-motivated, energetic, passionate individual to fill current opening for a Public Health Nurse in Carroll County, KY.

General Duties: Perform professional public health nursing services focusing on prevention including child health, adult health, sexually transmitted disease, preparedness, communicable disease, refugee health, tuberculosis, and immunizations. May provide emergency preparedness services, infectious disease control and other services.

• The Employee agrees to provide registered nursing services for the Health Department.
• The Employee agrees to provide services within the scope and limitations set forth as a registered nurse.
• The Employee agrees to maintain all patient chart and reporting documentation for service rendered.
• The Employee agrees to be under the direct supervision of the Nursing Supervisor and will receive job performance evaluation at least annually.
• The Employee agrees that an agency vehicle will be provided when traveling and that reimbursement for use of personal automobile will not be provided unless agency vehicle is unavailable.
• The Employee agrees to provide information required for the Health Department to meet state and federal service reporting requirements in order to secure funds to pay for service(s) rendered under the terms of this agreement.
• The Employee agrees to provide WIC, immunizations, STD exams and other duties as assigned.

Preferred Education, Training or Experience: Associate Degree in Nursing, no experience required.

Starting salary: $18.00-$25.00/per hour; Salary will be based upon skill and experience; Excellent fringe benefits and many opportunities for growth.
