Responsibilities

• Prepare digital printing equipment for production runs.
• Calibrate and adjust printing settings for different print jobs.
• Operate digital printing machinery, including digital presses and finishing equipment.
• Load and unload paper, ink, and other consumables as needed.
• Understand machine capabilities to achieve optimum print quality, throughput, and waste minimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues as equipment malfunctions.
• Receive print job orders and prioritize them based on deadlines.
• Update real-time order data through internal information systems.
• Ensure that jobs are completed on time and according to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on digital printing equipment.
• Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or the need for repairs.
• Coordinate with maintenance technicians for complex repairs.
• Inspect printed materials for defects and quality issues.
• Make adjustments to correct any problems and ensure consistent quality.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels of paper, ink, and other supplies.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain production logs and records of completed jobs.
• Track materials usage and production statistics.
• Participate in training programs facilitated by Lead/Supervisor, as well as lead training of others in outlined processes.
• Perform back-up responsibilities of other operations as necessary.
• Adheres to existing work instructions/processes and contribute ideas and recommendations for continuous process improvement.

Knowledge & Skills 

• Knowledge of procedures for performing digital press operations.
• Ability to read job tickets and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed oral and written instructions.
• Knowledge of computer system.
• Ability to operate Digital Press equipment.
• Problem solving skills.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Must be able to read a ruler and capable of converting decimals and fractions.
• Pays attention to detail and is driven to success.
• Ability to multi-task and be positive in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and to promote a positive working environment.
• Ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions

• Work involves frequent standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs).
• Must have good vision and good hand-eye coordination.
• Overtime as required.

Experience 

• Requires at least 3 years of related experience or combination of related experience and 3Z experience.
• Digital Press operating experience preferred.
• Knowledge of procedures for digital print operations.
   

Education

• High School Diploma or GED
