Job Description:
SUMMARY
Motivate and supervise Restaurant Staff, while maintaining outstanding guest relations. Ensure all departmental and company policies, procedures and regulations are being adhered to.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in managing food and beverage department and cover shifts as needed.
- Assists in controlling inventory of all restaurant and bar supplies.
- Assists in hiring, training and scheduling of staff.
- Ensures all delegated tasks are completed to performance standards.
- Provides evaluations and disciplinary action, up to and including recommendations for terminations.
- Oversees state licensing/certification of food handlers.
- Maintains safety and health regulations.
- Institutes and maintain cost controls.
- Shares responsibility for meeting departmental budget.
- Ensures food is served in correct portions, properly garnished and at the correct temperature.
- Ensures food quality and quantity in the Food Court, restaurants, cafe and banquets.
- Other duties as directed by management.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods of time.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
- Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently.
- Must regularly lift and /or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed.
