Pharmacy Compliance Specialist

Thrifty White Pharmacy is seeking out a full-time Pharmacy Compliance Specialist to plan, manage, and coordinate activities of the organization to ensure compliance with ethical, regulatory and legal requirements as well as provide other support to the Legal and Compliance Department.
Major Responsibilities:
Compliance Activities:
- Assists in day to day operation of the Compliance Program with emphasis on HIPAA incident response and controlled substance monitoring and compliance issue management for the Company, including both for the pharmacies and warehouse.
- Monitors and manages controlled substance compliance.
- Facilitates compliance survey completion and result tabulation.
- Tracks state Board of Pharmacy, state legislature, and other statutory and regulatory monitoring and tracking.
- Drafts and revises policies and procedures.
Legal Activities:
- Researches and analyzes federal and state statutes and administrative regulations, judicial decisions, and legal articles.
- Manages the legal hold and trademark monitoring process.
- Lease tracking and correspondence.
- Drafts and reviews Non-Disclosure Agreements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from a four year college or university.
- 2-4 years healthcare, compliance, or legal experience.
- Experience in pharmacy compliance, auditing, or pharmacy technician experience.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organization and follow up, follow through and communication skills.
