```Job Overview```
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join our team. As the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our organization. This is a key leadership role that requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders.
Full-time position. Oversees the financial operations of Thrive International. This includes:
● Systems that support the financial health of the organization
● Appropriate financial reporting to managers, management team and the Board of Directors
● Design and manage budget process
● Oversee long term financial forecasting, planning and modeling
```Responsibilities```
● Develop key financial models
● Plan for cash spends on different projects
● Schedule audits as appropriate and required
● Oversee organizational budget / finances and work closely with the leadership of each program / facility to establish and maintain the highest level of fiscal excellence.
● Participate in Thrive’s Management Team along with Exec. Dir. and other Director-level staff.
● Create fiscal presentations, reports, and charts as needed
● Create and implement organization fiscal policies
● Manage the cash flow of the organization
```Experience```
● Financial Management of a multimillion dollar budget
● Attention to detail (esp. skill in contract compliance)
● Leadership (esp. in multicultural environments)
● Expert level problem solver and analytical
● Knowledge of financial forecasting
● Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
●
Ability to take complex data and find the key metrics
● Thrives in team environment
● Desire to learn and grow in the role
● Experience managing a company's cash flow
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills
● Knowledge of Federal Award audits conducted under OMB Uniform Guidance
PREFERRED:
● Bachelor's degree in finance or equivalent in education/experience
● Direct experience as a refugee or other kind of immigrant
● 5 years of experience working in nonprofit operations management that includes budget oversight
● Multilingual
● Experience managing government grants (city, county, state, federal)
● Experience with not-for-profit accounting systems
● Experience with real estate finance, especially real estate development
● Experience managing finances in a multi-site organization
● Leadership (esp. in multicultural environments)
