Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role on our team to promote and restore patients’ health during the nursing process. You will collaborate with physicians and team members extensively to provide physical and psychological support to our patients and their families.
In this position, you will be responsible for several duties, including but not limited too; Identifying patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients.
Establishing a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
Promoting patient’s independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching patient and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills.
Assuring a high quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following Thrive’s philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.
Resolving patient problems and needs by utilizing team strategies.
Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Accurately and efficiently document patient care services by charting in our Electronic Medical Record.
Ensuring operation of equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; trouble shooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintain equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Maintaining nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Assisting in training new staff.
Enhancing the clinic reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to our success.
Maintaining patient confidentiality as per the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
Maintaining the operations of the clinic by following policies and procedures.
Contributing to a team effort by accomplishing other related tasks as needed.
General requirements and skill set:
2-year nursing degree from an accredited institution.
Current state license.
2 years’ experience working in a medical practice.
Competent use of computer systems, software, and 10 key calculators.
Portrays a calm manner and patience working with patients during the visit.
Excellent customer service skills for interacting with patients, including communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds.
Ability to read and interpret document such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Displays professionalism.
Demonstrates the ability to handle a fast-paced environment by portraying strong multi-tasking skills.
Demonstrates the ability to prioritize tasks/responsibilities and complete duties within the allotted time.
Willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
Ability to work effectively with patients, co-workers, and insurance companies.
Provides consistency and timeliness in attendance.
Willingness to be cross trained in different tasks and aspects of the clinic.
Preferred Qualifications:
4-year degree from an accredited institution.
Experience working with pediatrics.
Experience working within the Athena Electronic Health Record system.
Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.70 - $40.70 per hour
