Thrive South Lamar is focused on raising the bar in veterinary medicine while lowering costs for our clients. From nose to tail, we specialize in the kind of thorough, routine treatment that makes up 90% of all veterinary visits.
Our preventive care caseload is challenging, diverse and includes radiology, dental, diagnostics, and surgery all performed with state-of-the-art equipment.

As the head of your General Practice, you’ll have the guidance and resources to excel as a leader. This includes access to a Medical Initiatives Committee to become stronger and more equipped to develop your practice.
Who we are looking for
- A strong leader who wants to build a great medical team.
- 3 or more years of experience as a veterinarian.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills.
- Sound medical reasoning skills and strong medical ethics.
As Medical Director, you’ll have the guidance and resources to excel as a leader. This includes access to a Medical Initiatives Committee and Thrive Certified Leader Curriculum to become stronger and more equipped to develop your practice.
Experience & Skills Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required.
- State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, prior to their start date.
- Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.
