What are the responsibilities and job description for the Private Tutor position at Thrive Tutoring?
Thrive Tutoring is searching for a part-time private tutor to work in-person with students in the Lebanon and Mount Juliet areas during the school day AND after school hours. We are looking for a dynamic educator with deep content knowledge in late elementary grades across all subjects. In addition to a strong pedagogical background, we are looking for individuals who are engaging, fun, dependable, resourceful, and hardworking. Tutors must have their own transportation and are responsible for planning and executing sessions, recording student progress, and communicating with student families regularly. Tutors are competitively compensated at $40-$60 depending on education and experience.
Responsibilities
•Communicate promptly and professionally with Thrive team, students, and families
•Develop and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of the student
•Provide parents with feedback and next steps after each tutoring sessions
•Develop and continuously update a student learning plan that outlines the student's learning goals and objectives
•Follow through on all action items and commitments
