Thriving Lives Care provides 24 hour residential support to Adults with Intellectual/Developmental disabilities. TLC’s Mission is to provide a residential space where individuals feel safe, supported and have opportunity to Thrive. Our DSP’s are the key in helping us meet our mission and goals. They offer daily interactions, model positive behavior, offer social engagement and provide support with activities of daily living. Without a caring, reliable, supportive team… people cannot thrive.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: DSP (Full and Part Time positions available) Pay Range $17.00 – $20.00/hr (Overtime and bonus opportunities available)
ASK ABOUT OUR WEEKEND FLEX POSITION AVAILABLE TO START AT $19.00 – $22.00/hr .
Position Purpose:
To provide direct support to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in our homes. Our role is to help our residents be as independent as their abilities allow, while providing guidance, structure and support in areas where their disability may impede them from their goals otherwise.
Responsibilities of a Professional Caregiver
DSP provide Individuals with support in activities of daily living. Supports may include, but not limited to, bathing/hygiene, feeding, medical supports/med management, Hoyer transport, behavior supports, activities/social interactions, money management/guidance, etc. DSP’s follow Oregon Administrative Rules, agency guidelines and Individual support plans to provide care as deemed appropriate by the individuals team.

Qualifications
Must have verbal and written communication skills adequate to the specific job.
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Approved Background Clearance
Reliable transportation to the work site
Access to a telephone
Must be able to meet minimum training requirements and complete renewals as assigned
Must be 21 if required to drive an approved TLC vehicle and maintain a valid Driver’s License, acceptable Driving Record
Reliable, Caring and Willing to support anothers’ needs.
