Fueling Innovation, One Skill at a Time: Join Our Team as a Technical Trainer! The Technical Trainer reports to the Head of Machining with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Corporate Human Resource Manager. The Technical trainer is responsible for implementing and conducting technical training programs as well as managing High School apprentices. • Prepare and conduct technical training for Danville Machining• Assess training needs and certification requirements• Develop and maintain job role qualification profiles and work instructions• Deploy training to targeted personnel• Lead CRANK Onboarding program; continuously evaluate for improvements• Support transition of employee from orientation to OJT; provide consistent follow up• Educate Team Leaders, Production Management, and Operators on Skill Pay Program• Skill Pay Program Administration• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives in training• Support Team Leaders in development and execution of cross training• Develop, proctor, and grade Skill Pay Knowledge assessments• Mentor and coach shop floor trainers• Provide theoretical portion of Mag Particle training• Coordinate and oversee High School Apprentice Program• Maintain High School Apprentice Competency Model• Onsite check ins on Apprentices at DACC
Education/Credentials/Certifications• Bachelor’s Degree in Technical related field preferred Length of Experience• At least 10 years of previous related experience• Previous leadership experience• Experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities• Understanding of machining processes • Understanding of Quality processes• Ability to follow and develop step-by-step procedures• Excellent leadership skills• Excellent communication ability• Ability to guide and instruct others• Organizational skills
