As a Process Engineer - Pyro Processing Systems, you'll play a vital role in bridging the gap between theory and practice. We need someone with both a solid engineering foundation and hands-on experience in the cement manufacturing industry. Your expertise will be crucial in articulating complex process concepts to diverse audiences, from frontline workers to senior management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
● Review and analysis of customer provided data and process requirements for pyro processing systems or plants.
● Process calculations to determine all relevant factors and variables towards the selection of suitable equipment and its appropriate sizing based on the TKIS -Polysius product portfolio.
● Analysis and interpretation of material test results; review and/or generation of test reports.
● Generation of process flow charts, mass and material balances, calculations of emissions, gas flows, heat consumption, etc.
● Calculation and drafting of performance guarantee as required.
● Writing and approval of purchase requisitions for purchased process equipment.
● Pre-selects, in coordination with Purchasing and Quality Assurance departments, vendors for process equipment and components.
● Approval of vendor documentation and drawings for purchased process equipment.
● Coordination with customers’ engineering staff for technical matters.
● Research and analysis of data, specifications, manuals, etc., to determine feasibility of design and application.
● Provides on-site inspections and recommends technical solutions for operating issues.
● Coordination with field erection services during equipment installation and startup.
● Provides on-site Commissioning assistance as required by the business.
● Assistance in the development of tests, methods, and procedures for the performance of evaluating pyro processing systems.
● Overseeing, organization, and supervision of pyro processing performance tests in the field.
● Evaluation of field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system failures.
● Review of data retrieved from Online-Monitoring systems installed on pyro processing systems and system components.
● Review of product failure data to determine cause of failure and recommends technical solution for future failure prevention.
● Participating in designs reviews to improve products and systems, safety, operation, and maintenance.
● Demonstrate a commitment to safety.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will have no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Your profile
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Engineering, Physics, Mechanics, or Chemistry; and a minimum of 3 years related work experience.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
● Motivated to learn new processes and technologies.
● Comfortable working in teams and with contractors/customers.
● Able to work on construction sites as well as in office environments.
● Strong sense of ownership.
● Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
● Ability to travel both nationally and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Cement or mineral processing industries.
Travel Demands:
● Up to 30%.
