Accounting Management The Accounting Management job supervises a team of professional level employees and manages the financial record keeping, reporting, tax filling and other accounting functions of the organization. This job checks accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports for accuracy, completeness and conformance to procedural standards. This job also sets goals and objectives for accountants for achievement of operational results. Key Responsibilities and Duties Coordinates the day-to-day general accounting activities within the department for direct reports to ensure smooth functioning of the department. Recommending enhancements to general accounting activities to ensure compliance with organizational and governmental policies and procedures and to ensure the most effective and efficient operations. Inspects the reconciliation of balance sheet, profit & loss, bank accounts, etc. to confirm that statements are correctly recorded. Reviews accounting reports such as consolidated financial statements, cash flow reports, budget reports, etc. for internal (management reporting) and external (compliance reporting) audiences. Works closely with internal auditors, public accountants, federal tax examiners, and other financial professionals ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization. Assesses implementation of monthly and quarterly financial and compliance processes, to ensure that all compliance requirements are adhered to. Monitors performance of team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional services and engagement, motivation, and development of team.Educational Requirements University (Degree) PreferredWork Experience 5 Years Required; 7 Years PreferredPhysical Requirements Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work Career Level 8PL Additional Responsibilities Will be responsible for, but not limited to, supporting the Consumer Banking Division Participates in providing accounting support for key strategic initiatives and business decisions Reviews journal entries, reconciliations and analyzes variances Reviews, prepares and provides support for external audit and regulatory reviews Required Qualifications 5 years of accounting experience Preferred Qualifications 7 years of accounting experience Bachelor or MBA in accounting CPA Preferred Experience working in Banking and/or Consumer Banking Industry Mix of public and private accounting preferred Experience with Oracle, TM1 Systems, SBO 2000 or similar loan sub-ledger system preferred, Alteryx and Tableau MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint Experience managing a team or team of accountants Experience with process development & controls Strong understanding of technical accounting, ability to comply with updated accounting guidance and control #LI-CS2 Related Skills Accountability, Accounting Standards, Adaptability, Business Acumen, Business Process Improvement, Collaboration, Communication, Compliance, Financial Acumen, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Inspires Others, Relationship Management, Risk Analysis/Analytics, Stakeholder Engagement, Strategic Thinking Base Pay Range: $105,500/yr. - $189,100/yr. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
