Deposit Operations Specialist
The Deposit Operations Specialist supports routine day-to-day operations of consumer and commercial banking. Under close supervision, this job performs limited to low risk administrative/transactional banking tasks such as drafting daily proofs and processing payments that follow standard procedures.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Answers service calls and responds to customer questions to ensure customer gets the information they require.
- Drafts daily proofs and reconciliations that are compliant with corporate accounting and control policies.
- Processes payments, tickets and online entries and ensures that all information is accurate.
- Researches routine customer, branch or bank inquiries and escalates issues as necessary.
- Considers multiple resources and records when investigating customer inquiries.
- Enters transactions into CRT/PC and balances general ledger accounts.
- Ensures work is properly safeguarded and controlled in accordance with banking policies and procedures.
- Prepares daily and monthly general ledger account reconciliations for deposit accounts including clearing and suspense accounts.
- Provides communication of open items requiring corrective action by deposit operations staff.

Knowledge and experience of basic accounting procedures

Proven data entry and/or typing skills with experience as a Data Entry Operator or Accounts Payable Clerk

Experience with MS Excel & Oracle programs
ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reconcile general ledger data from source documents within deadlines and ensure accuracy

Compile, verify accuracy and sort information to prepare source data for data entry

Research and analysis of outstanding variances and obtain further details for complete reconciliations

Demonstrate familiarity with entering debit and credit journal entries into general ledger system

Generate daily reports and store in designated file locations

Respond timely to requests for additional information for reconciliations and reporting

Base Pay Range: $17.10/hr. - $29.50/hr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
