Software Developer/Analyst

Position Overview: We are seeking a versatile Software Developer/Analyst with a proven track record of combining technical expertise with strong business analysis skills. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technology and business needs by leveraging your ability to understand, analyze, and translate complex requirements into innovative software solutions. Key Responsibilities:

1. Software Development:
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications.
   • Write efficient, maintainable, and scalable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
   • Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis to deployment and support.
   • Enhance, develop, and troubleshoot in SyteLine ERP environment (MS SQL Server and VB.NET)
2. Business Analysis:
   • Work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, objectives, and challenges.
   • Translate business needs into comprehensive technical specifications and use cases.
   • Employ strong analytical skills to identify process improvements and innovative solutions that align with business goals.
3. Solution Design:
   • Create technical solutions that address business problems while considering scalability, feasibility, and user experience.
   • Collaborate with users to develop intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
4. Quality Assurance:
   • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure software reliability, functionality, and security.
   • Collaborate with users to address issues and implement improvements.
5. Documentation:
   • Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design diagrams, user manuals, and technical specifications.
   • Document business processes, requirements, and technical decisions for future reference.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
   • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of objectives.
   • Work closely with team to define project scope and prioritize features.

Software Developer/Analyst Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a software developer with a strong emphasis on business analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for identifying opportunities for process improvements.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
• Self-starter with the ability to independently manage priorities and projects successfully.
• Ability to multitask and manage changing requirements and short timelines.

Preferred Experience:

• MVC
• GitHub
• ERP experience (SyteLine)
• Manufacturing Processes
• Business Intelligence (Birst)
• SharePoint Online
• Familiarity with software testing methodologies and tools
• Microsoft Access (migrating to SQL)
