Quality Analyst (U.Form Detroit Inc)

Summary:

Responsible for acting with internal and external audits, making the elaboration of standards and procedures and non-conformities of the processes. Elaborates and revises procedures and work instructions aiming at the standardization of quality processes.


Job Description:

Coordinator and develop analysis by planning and systematization of activities related to the quality area in accordance with the policy defined by the company, define preventive controls, verify and correct deficiencies that may arise in equipment, devices or machines, monitor corrective actions, attend internal and external audits, manage the use of measuring instruments, as well as periodically monitor its calibration and documents pertinent to it, recording in the inspection report the data obtained, confronting with the technical standards when necessary, receiving, release, storing and selecting the materials according to the production order, advise the areas of the company regarding the documentation of the quality visual and operational standardization of standards and procedures, classify the opening flows of nonconformities, indicating the quality standard that the non-conformity refers to, linking the non-conformity to the relevant document in the electronic documentation management system, monitoring the development and completion of ongoing processes, verifying the actions, charging their respective deadlines, rationalize the flat and continuous forms, the implementation of various models acting together with the areas involved, develop, monitor and control the quality indicators, administrative, prepare the management reports, subsidizing the quality management of the information necessary for decision making.



Major Responsibilities:

  • Identify and record present or potential conditions that affect the product, process, or quality system.
  • Developing and executing test plans to ensure that all objectives are met.
  • Initiate corrective or preventive action procedures to address conditions and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions. This may include controlling or stopping further processing of the product until corrective action has been satisfactorily implemented.
  • Monitor and maintain instruments including instrument recall, instrument calibration, monitor and maintain process control testing, coordinate measuring machine (CMM) effectiveness, mechanical testing, destructive weld testing, and laboratory consumables.
  • Support in the inspection process, including APQP, and PPAP, and conduct validation and verification activities as required.
  • Assist in day-to-day management tasks required by the department.
  • Make continuous improvement efforts through the Kaizen work philosophy.



We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Education - Must possess basic quality knowledge obtained through university or college training or a combination of training and experience. Engineering degree preferred.
  • Desired - 2 years’ experience in Quality Assurance or Control. Practical knowledge of metal stamping, metalworking, destructive metal testing, welding, etc.
  • Must have or be willing to learn CMM programming, practical hands-on testing, etc.

· Knowledge of QMS procedures

· MSA

· Basic knowledge of risk-based thinking, automotive process management

· Understanding of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements

· Understanding of Customer Specific Requirements – FCA (PPA and CQI)

· FCA Specific Requirements

· WCM Methodology

· FMEA

· APQP

· Training methodology Tiberina audit

· Reading and understanding the control plane

· Office suite

· Knowledge of the production process (2 years)
