The role- We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our chemical production facility. This person will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our equipment, machinery, and infrastructure, including supporting the initial installation and startup of the facility. Your team- Steve Thiele is the Facilities and Maintenance Manager of Tidal Vision. He works with a team of people who are diligent problem solvers, always willing to help, and love to have fun in the process. The team takes pride in having a do what it takes mentality to keep our facility running smoothly.
What you’ll do-
- Installation and startup support: Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and vendors during the initial installation and startup phase of the chemical production facility.
- Perform preventive maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance tasks, inspections, and testing on equipment, machinery, and systems according to established maintenance plans.
- Troubleshoot and repair: Identify and diagnose equipment malfunctions, mechanical issues, and electrical problems in a timely manner. Conduct necessary repairs, adjustments, or replacements to restore functionality and minimize downtime.
- Conduct equipment inspections.
- Respond to breakdowns and emergencies.
- Maintain documentation: keep accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams.
- Adhere to safety protocols and participate in safety training.
- Stay updated on technological advancements, industry best practices, and regulatory changes related to chemical production equipment and processes.
Skills and experience you own-
- Knowledge of LockOut/TagOut and safe work practices.
- Basic computer skills for working with Computer Maintenance Management Program (CMMS)
- Ability to read and follow instruction/assembly manuals
- Ability to drive forklift
- Ability to work independently and/or with a team, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or relevant vocational training preferred).
- 2-3 years as a Maintenance Technician in a chemical production or similar industrial setting
- Experience operating chemical processing equipment (preferred).
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with pneumatic tools and compressed air equipment.
- Previous mechanical experience (industrial/automotive/construction), required.
- Equipment installation experience- equipment assembly and anchoring
Our Ideal Candidate- The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, in-depth knowledge of chemical processes, experience operating chemical processing equipment (preferred), and a commitment to safety and quality. We are looking for someone who would be just as happy to sweep the floors as they would be to do some more elaborate maintenance work.
Salary : $25 - $27
