Local Trucking Freight Rate Coordinator- Pollocksville NC

Tidewater Transit Company is hiring For a Trucking Freight Rate Coordinator out of Kinston, NC. Tidewater Transit is an industry leader in liquid and dry bulk transportation. Our commitment to safety and product stewardship is guided by the principles of Responsible Care and the Responsible Care Management System.  The Freight Rate Coordinator will assist the Vice President of Business Development in the operation of the department and will compile and maintain customer contracts. Duties and Responsibilities: - Calculates and disseminates freight rates to customers as requested. - Records and maintains freight rates in the rate tariff schedule. - Maintains customer files to include contracts, fees and rates, correspondence and analytical information. - Calculates, updates, and disseminates the customer and company fuel surcharge rates weekly. - Responds to customer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons. - Prepares customer reports to be used in the analysis of existing business. - Reviews shipping documents to determine rates and fees for the accurate billing of services rendered. - Other duties may be assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
