Title: Maintenance PLC Technician
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
FLSA: Hourly Non-Exempt
Responsible for supporting day to day production operations to ensure Tiffin Group maintains daily production targets. Position will work closely with production and maintenance team members to resolve industrial equipment issues and support Tiffin Group core values: DREAMS- Driven by Customers, Reliable Excellence, Efficiently Prepared, Adaptable Mindsets, Methodical Problem Solvers, & Shared Adventures.
Responsibilities/Essential Duties:
- General industrial maintenance skills
- Experienced using industrial maintenance hand tools
- Experience with installing single and three phase transformers and electrical panels
- Experience in installing/programming HDMI controls, VFD’s, motor controls, temperature controllers, control boards, relays, I/O cards, PLC banks
- Trouble shooting and understanding of all PLC logics and programs
- Experience in all lock out tag out protocols
- Troubleshooting and repairing issues on production equipment in the facilities
- Support general facility maintenance as needed
- Read and understand electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
- Experience in using electrical testing devices such as multimeters, megohmmeters, phase detectors
- Ability to assist others with troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems
- Create and maintain records of materials used
- Experience in working with electrical control systems
- Maintain production equipment and complete PM’s as assigned
- Comply with all company safety procedures and programs
Requirements:
- Ability to diagnosis and solve problems with production equipment
- Comfortable working in production type environment
- Ability to perform work in mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties.
- Industrial experience is a plus
- Associates degree in electrical or PLC technology or a minimum of 3 years in programing experience
- Ability to drive and operate scissor lifts, boom lifts, fork lifts
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Must be able to perform work at elevated heights
- Must be willing to travel for technical training
- Must be familiar with multiple brands of PLC’s and programs alike
- 5S experience a plus
