Position Overview:
CopaSAT, LLC is seeking a highly skilled SATCOM Systems Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining satellite communication systems and networks. This role requires in-depth technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and develop SATCOM systems and network architecture.
- Integrate, test, and troubleshoot SATCOM hardware and software components.
- Evaluate and coordinate compliance with technical requirements
- Provide technical support for SATCOM installations, configurations, and upgrades.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SATCOM systems with other network components.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system designs, test plans, and operational procedures.
- Stay current with emerging SATCOM technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.
- Participate in field deployments and provide on-site support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SATCOM systems design, including RF engineering, modulation schemes, and antenna technologies.
- Strong understanding of networking principles, including IP networking, routing, and switching.
- Experience with SATCOM ground station equipment, including modems, amplifiers, and antennas.
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics MRP/ERP system
- 10 years of related work experience
- Experience in engineering for DOD customers/services
- Experience in aerospace and defense manufacturing
- Experience in AS9100 or NADCAP environment
This position works in a manufacturing environment. Occasionally, with contact with potentially hazardous chemicals or materials. All employees are expected to follow the company’s rigorous safety and personal protective equipment procedures.
This position is for our Seminole, FL location.
