Description
Position Summary:
The Operations Supervisor, under direction of the Operations Manager, creates a great experience for Tiger Employees and Customers by leading and improving upon current Tiger practices, as well as modifying employee behavior in all lines of business conducted from the West location.
Essential Functions:
- Manages the day-to-day operations of Tiger West.
- Oversees personnel needs of the department including selecting, coaching, disciplining, and training employees and evaluating employee performance.
- Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
- Monitors operating metrics while diagnosing and improving processes, procedures, and performance in CRM Software.
- Verification, correction, and submission of timecards and employment documents for all direct reports.
- Observes employee performance while servicing customers.
- Addresses and completes tasks as assigned through the company’s enterprise risk management software.
- Investigates and completes required paperwork on customer damage claims.
- Develop or utilize existing systems to record deficiencies found on pre trips, observations, and fleet walks.
- Maintain communication with the Operations Manager on the status of weekly and daily audits and observations.
- Analyze and balance routes to ensure efficiency and utilization of assets.
- Ensures that all Drivers are operating vehicles in accordance with OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, state, and federal law.

Requirements
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Ability to teach and enforce safe operations of DOT vehicles.
- Ability to positively influence behaviors.
- Ability to proficiently navigate Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to convey Tiger Sanitation as the obvious choice for our customers, employees, and community.

Education and Experience
- Possess a valid Class C Driver’s License.
- 1 year or professional commercial driving supervisory experience, required; 2 years of professional commercial driving supervisory experience, preferred.
- Experience in commercial and residential waste, preferred.
Working Conditions
This position will be in non-climate-controlled settings and an office environment with extended periods of sitting, standing, and using manual dexterity to operate company vehicles, equipment, and computer-based systems and to conduct inspections and trainings.
