Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all guests in a fine dining setting
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Assist with food preparation and ensure that all dishes are presented beautifully
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance the guest experience
- Operate the Toast POS system to input orders and process payments
- Handle cash transactions and maintain a balanced cash register
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including dining tables and service stations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food to guests
- Address any guest concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Build positive relationships with guests to encourage repeat business
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service techniques, including wine pairing and menu descriptions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Proficient in using the Aloha POS system or similar point-of-sale software
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business
