Summary
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the procurement, and supply of materials needed to fill customer orders. The Supply Chain Manager will act as the liaison between suppliers, engineering, and production. They work closely with other team members to ensure all inventory transactions are monitored and reported.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Manage centralized procurement for all Timber Creek facilities.
  • Establish and administer procedures for procurement functions.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact and liaison with Suppliers, Sales, Engineering and Production.
  • Select, build and/or maintain vendor relationships to assure high quality and value to the Company.
  • Work to improve buyer behavior.
  • Maintain supply chain inventory and records.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure all operations meet quality and safety standards.
  • Forecast inventory needs and develop programs necessary to maintain inventory levels that achieve completion of production schedule.
  • Track and take action to improve monthly purchase price variances.
  • Mentor employees within the department.
  • Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to create a coordinated plan for business growth.
  • Participate in month-end close.
  • Review and plan for future production requirements/capacity based upon customer forecast and other inputs.
  • Recognize, communicate, and resolve any issues that would impact delivery dates and/or customer satisfaction.
  • Review the availability of sub-assemblies, raw materials, and purchase parts to ensure accurate completion of production schedule, and customer satisfaction.
  • Expedite delivery of any needed materials, contacting vendors or purchasing as needed, to ensure availability.


Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience
A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. Prior experience in Inventory Management is required. Accounting background would be helpful.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents in English, and communicate those out effectively. Professional communication is required.
Analytical Skills
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills are required. Ability to calculate figures and use basic math skills. Must have excellent organizational skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to shift priorities quickly.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to work in a computer system generating reports and metrics. Knowledge of basic Microsoft Suite required.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Communication Skills
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal communication is required. Must possess intellectual curiosity and a drive for continuous improvement.
