Plan, organize, implement and oversee all procedures to ensure a smooth, efficient operation of the Ski & Ride School meeting. Carry out day-to-day supervision of ski/ride lessons as asked by Director and Assistant Director. Supervise Instructor staff performance on and off the hill.



Requirements

  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Support Ski & Ride School Director, Assistant Director in accomplishing departmental and company goals.

· Supervise daily outside operations.

· Assign Instructors specific organizational duties for the day.

· Work with Ski & Ride School Director to establish lesson numbers for the day.

· Insure meeting area and assigned stations are set up, ready to operate prior to guest arrivals.

· Be aware of Children’s program staffing needs.

· Be aware of ongoing training programs.

· Assign classes on an equitable basis.

· Take appropriate action to ensure classes go out in a timely manner.

· Insure class splits and student transfers are taken care of quickly as possible.

· Shadow classes to observe quality of instruction.

· Insure staff are accountable for whereabouts of their students at all times.

· Serve as a liaison between parents, their children, instructors and other department members.

· Serve as a Timberline representative at various promotional functions.

· Assist in training Instructors.

· Support Ski & Ride School policies to staff members.

· Convey supply needs to Assistant Director for proper outside operation.

· Understand and perform all activities and duties of staff that report to this position.

· Attend all Manager/Supervisor training as required by HR.

· Other duties as assigned by Ski & Ride School and Timberline management. 

· Ensure recyclable materials from your area of business are taken to correct location and placed in appropriate containers. 

· Exercise sound judgment and awareness regarding language, behavior, dress and grooming. 

· Regular and reliable attendance.


QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must have excellent guest service skills.

· Must have high-quality organizational skills.

· Must have excellent communication skills with guests and staff.

· Must be able to consider each situation individually and act accordingly.

· Must be able to handle many situations simultaneously and/or in order of priority.

· Must have excellent management and leadership capabilities.

· Must possess a general knowledge of computer skills and functions.

· Must be able to lead employees and create a work environment that includes personal accountability, pride and fun.

· Must be able to understand the levels of ski and/or snowboard skills. 


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Must be able to walk in snow & icy conditions, bend, lift, ski and/or snowboard for 2-10 hrs per shift.

· Must be able to work in a high pressure, high energy environment.

· Must possess proficient level ski and/or snowboarding skills.
