What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Manager position at TimbukTech Inc?
Our Service Manager leads and manages the service department which means:
- Reviewing, implementing, and accountability for service policies & procedures
- Planning, communication, and leading of departmental meetings
- Managing service department individuals
- Goal Setting
- Individual Training Plans
- Performance Reviews
- Project Management
- Client communication
- Work with service team leads to prioritize, and resolve issues
- Responsible for planning, and implementation of department initiatives
- Sit on leadership team for Company planning and issue discussion
We work as a team, so in addition to supporting client’s needs, you will also be helping and mentoring your colleagues and they will be helping and mentoring you!
Our Service Manager is expected to work as a team to develop best practices, test new technology, and document standard procedures for common types of service requests.
Required Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
- Management and Leadership experience
- Ability to change tasks rapidly: As a service business, we expect the unexpected to disrupt our plans
- Ability to stay organized and follow through to completion, with a high level of accuracy
- A willingness and ability to learn new applications and skills
Also, the ideal candidate will not settle for the status quo. After learning how we operate, this person should challenge us to find new and effective ways of serving our clients, our team, and be willing to help implement those ideas.
Preferred Experience:
- 3 years of management experience
- 3 years in a fast-paced environment required multi-tasking
- 2-4 years of experience with Microsoft Office
- 1-2 year of experience in technology infrastructure
