Description

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to provide crucial support and therapy to individuals facing emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges. In this role, you will assess clients' mental health, devise effective treatment plans, and administer therapeutic interventions to enhance their overall well-being.

Responsibilities

• Perform mental health assessments and create treatment plans
• Deliver individual or group therapy sessions
• Apply evidence-based therapeutic techniques
• Evaluate clients for suicide risk and safety concerns
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary
• Document client progress and treatment outcomes
• Offer psychoeducation to clients and their families
• Advocate for clients' needs and rights
• Engage in continuous professional development
• Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions
• Conduct research to inform therapeutic practices
• Employ behavioral and cognitive assessments
• Implement treatment modalities specific to populations such as children or veterans
  
  

Requirements

• Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field
• Licensure as a mental health therapist or counselor
• Clinical experience in a mental health setting
• Understanding of diagnostic criteria for mental health disorders
• Capability to develop and execute treatment plans
• Familiarity with ethical and legal considerations in mental health counseling
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team
• Strong crisis intervention and risk assessment abilities
• Experience in trauma-informed care and cultural competence
• Knowledge of electronic health record systems
• Commitment to continuous professional development and supervision
• Capacity to maintain confidentiality and ethical boundaries
