What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daycare/Preschool Teacher position at Tiny Toes Day Care?
Duties:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans for preschool children.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Provide guidance and support to children in their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, cooperation, and teamwork.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement curriculum goals and objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of each child's attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns or issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred but not necessary
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or educational setting preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a positive learning environment for young children.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of each child.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
