Your Part in Our Mission:
The B B editor will be responsible for scaling and growing ‘new parent’-focused content (pregnancy through kids ages 0-5 years) in a thoughtful, on brand, and metrics-first way. Reporting to the Editorial Director, the B B editor will work to bring the editorial vision to life across platforms as well as lead a team of freelance writers in the development of story ideas that will engage new and existing readers, grow SEO and newsletter traffic, and aid brand partnerships. The editor will also ensure that all B B headlines, angles, images, and copy across emails and the site are optimized and on-brand.
What You’ll Be Doing…

Collaborate:
Work with Editorial Director Sr. Editor, Lifestyle to brainstorm assignments that elevate the brand while delivering on performance goals to maximize reach and impact.
Liaise with the brand partnerships team to provide editorial insight and recommendations.

Live & Breathe Content Strategy:
Develop high-performing B B calendar, using a combination of editorial know-how, metrics, and forecast trends. You will also recognize which historical stories should be updated for SEO performance, use historical data and SEO keyword research to find new traffic opportunities, and expand upon top performing posts for success in both email and search.

Oversee & Optimize B B Newsletters:
Experiment with selection and placement of stories to increase reader engagement. You will create thoughtful and engaging email experiences that pique readers’ interest and further drive return sessions, working ahead to ensure content hits in a timely manner.

Oversee & Strategize Content in App:
Test and strategize the types of stories/content uploaded into the app (as well as posting cadence) that will result in increased engagement ideal user experience.

Assign, Edit & Write
Oversee all B B content on the site app, effectively setting and managing deadlines and editing stories (and headlines, subject lines) as they come in.
Jump in to write and update content in-house as needed.
Grow & Manage a dependable stable of talented B B freelance writers.

Strong Written Communication Skills- A creative storyteller with a sharp, conversational writing style; yes, you understand SEO, but you have a relatable voice that shines through in copy and aren’t afraid to use it to make parents feel seen, heard, and understood

Salary Range for This Position…
Annual per year of $80K to $90K
Salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with position; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Ranges vary depending on location and local/state/federal compliance requirements in the United States and Canada.
You must have…
5-8 years of editorial experience in digital media/platforms, ideally in the parenting space
Deep knowledge of SEO, including the use of tools like SEM Rush and Yoast for optimization
Experience working with: content management systems (preferably WordPress), Photoshop & Canva, and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and Parsely
Stellar communication and writing/editing skills
Ability to thrive an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
