General Labor GARAGE/ TARP TEAM $15/hr-$18/hr

Yard Utility  

Shifts needed: 4:30a-1pm

Pay:$15/hr. attendance bonus $18/hr up to 40 hours.

Key Responsibility:

• Yard housekeeping: Monitor yard. Look for everything to be in place. (Coops, Boards, Trash cans, Yard tools, Bungees)
• Trash: Empty trash at fuel island, live shed, scale house, and yard trash cans daily.
• Live Shed: Clean live shed floor daily. Drive the floor cleaning machine and use manual tools and physical labor for cleaning. 
• Truck scales. Clean truck scales daily, and monitor truck scale condition daily. Gather trash in truck scale house and throw away. Keep scale house window closed.
• Partially loaded coop trails; make a full load of partially loaded trailers. Chain and strap loads.
• Tarps; Seasonal: Remove winter tarps from loaded trailers. Fold tarps into a small size and organize them, and place them into the trailer box.
• Coop Maintenance and repair: Determine the condition of coops, sort the good coops onto trailers, and sort the coops in need of repair to repair room to be repaired. 

• Will be trained and licensed in Forklift Operation (MHE License)

• Will be required to pre-trip and post-trip Forklift.

• Must be a safe and cautious driver.

• Use Manual tools and physical labor for cleaning.

• Will be trained in FMCSA Compliance standards for Pre-tripping trailers.

• Will be responsible for reporting and documenting issues with Reefer trailers.

• Will be responsible for responding to water containers when 2/3 is full. Must be able to remove and empty the full tank in the appropriate area and place a new tank immediately.

• Will be trained and licensed in fall protection, 'Can't be afraid of heights.

Abilities:

·        Ability to lift 75 lbs.

·        Physical ability for manual labor required for lifting and stacking coops nine high on trailers and cleaning around the yard and/or live shed. 

·        Physical ability to get up and down on a tractor-trailer flatbed trailer.

·        Physical ability to throw trailer chains and straps over nine high stacks of coops and secure load with load binders.

·        Attendance record must be good.

·        Self-starter and task-oriented person.

Multi-Tasking Skills:

·        Must have good Multi-task skills to manage a few tasks at the same time.

·        MHE license for forklifts. (Training will be provided)

· Note: This job will require rotating Weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per day; free use of hands and free range of arm movement; ability to bend repeatedly at the waist for 8-10 hours per day; ability to safely walk to and in the plant; ability to properly wear personal protective equipment, sanitary equipment, and any other equipment necessary for certain departments; ability to work in all weather conditions (this is an outside job); ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Physical ability for manual labor required for lifting tarps, pallets, and containers, cleaning around the yard and/or live shed. Physical ability to operate heavy machinery and conduct pre-trip inspections on equipment.
