Responsibilities
- Post journal entries for daily banking activity
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and expense account analysis
- Assist in reconciliation of revenue and inventory
- Perform backup duties as needed for fixed assets and accounts payable
- Compile support for annual audit
- Complete other duties as assigned to meet department needs and special projects
- Suggest and implement changes in accounting processes to gain efficiencies
Qualifications
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Bachelor’s or Associates degree in accounting, finance or similar OR 2 years of experience in a role of similar scope
- Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills
- Must be able to adhere to tight monthly deadlines, with strong time management and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to build productive internal/external working relationships
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently and as part of a team
- Strong written skills for email and written follow-up correspondence
- Working knowledge of AS400 systems preferred, but not required
