Diagnostic Technicians are responsible for ensuring vehicle function and condition, by performing inspections, diagnosing, repairing, and replacing mechanical parts and components, diagnosing, and repairing vehicle brake systems, and preventative maintenance such as engine tune-ups. This is a bumper to bumper full service repairs job. The more you know how to do, the more you will get an opportunity to do! Due to our continuous growth we are offering a bonus of up to $1,000.
Job Qualifications/Responsibilities:
- Minimum of five years of experience for Diagnostic technician, three years for line technician
- Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency
- Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification
- Provide timely estimates for additional automotive repairs
- Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in an efficient manner to service advisors and sometimes our customers
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
- Inspect and test vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
- Must have your own tools
- ASE Certifications preferred
- Hold a valid driver's license
- Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of quality work.
- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as fluid / vehicle maintenance equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
