Accounting/ Accounts Payable Specialist

Titan Hotel Group is in search of a driven, detail-orientated, Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing team. In this role you would be responsible for entering invoices, reconciling vendor statements and processing check payments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Enter vendor invoices, check requests, and expense reports.
• Process accounts payable checks.
• Review purchase orders for coding and approval.
• Verify sales tax on invoices, compute use tax if necessary.
• Communicate with vendors and employees regarding invoices and payment status.
• Review AP aging reports and follow up on old payables. Clean up reports as needed.
• Collect W-9s and maintain current record.
• Collect sub-contractor insurance certificates and maintain current records.
• Prepare required reporting for 1099 processing.
• Help develop accounts payable procedures.
• Provide training to individuals and groups in the Company for accounts payable related topics.
• Protect the Company's value by keeping the information confidential.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Contribute to team effort by meeting goals and delivering related results.
• Cross-train in other areas of the Finance department to provide appropriate backup.
• May help with schedules and backup for any audits.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Experience and Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years in a related accounting role, hotel accounting would be helpful, but not necessary.
• Must work well with multiple priorities and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Prior accounting / accounts payable experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of the M3 accounting system a plus.
• Excellent verbal/written, and communication skills.
