What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Language Pathologist position at Titusville Area Hospital?
Provide diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services for individuals with speech, language and swallowing disorders to patients in the areas of inpatient/outpatient, birth to geriatrics.
- Demonstrates knowledge/expertise of aphasia, dysarthria, voice disorders (organic), head trauma disorders, dysphagia in adult and pediatric populations.
- Provide patient evaluation and appropriate follow up treatments. Documents patient’s evaluation, progress note and discharge note on the patient chart to include; date, case history, primary diagnosis, tests administered, impressions, goals, recommendations and signature.
- Required to maintain absolute confidentiality of patient care, patient accounts and hospital related matters
- Required to abide by, and comply with, the provisions of the TAH Corporate Compliance Policy
Education/Experience
- Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology with Certificate of Clinical Competency (C.C.C.) awarded by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association is required.
- Current license in Speech Pathology for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- One to two years of clinical experience as a certified professional required
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification
- Stroke education
Work Environment
Normal patient care in a hospital environment and outpatient office with little exposure to temperature variations/noise/dust.
Pay: $33.00 - $37.00 per hour
