Job Description
Reporting to the Engineering Manager and in coordination with the engineering and marketing team, Tivoli’s Technical Illustrator creates technical documentation using various software applications. Tivoli’s Technical Illustrator contributes to a full line of technical publications to include system layout drawings (SLDs), provides technical support internally and externally, and creates installation instructions, new product introduction (NPIs) documentation, and assembly instructions.

Specific Position Duties:
- Provide the 3D rendering artwork of lighting fixture products and applications.
- Conceptualize, create, design, and coordinate detailed illustration views that support technical data products.
- Translate 3D CAD designs and specifications delivered by mechanical engineers into a wide variety of technical documents for engineering, manufacturing, assembly & production, operations, and marketing - including product specs, system specs, manufacturing drawings, assembly instructions, installation guides, and all other relevant documentation.
- Perform 3D CAD engineering using SolidWorks and other computer programs to create technical drawings based on the designs provided by engineers - including dimensioning, tolerancing, and standard drawing layouts for manufacturing and assembly.
- Produce and verify documentation within and according to ANSI standards.
- Maintain data configuration control to store, search and access technical illustrations.
- Investigate emerging technologies and develop new techniques, advancing technical product illustration and procedures.
- Interface with others to review and assemble technical data products for final delivery.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in Illustration/Engineering or related field.
- >2 years of working experience in LED manufacturing or relevant industry experience.
- >3 years’ experience with demonstrated efficiency and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe applications including Photoshop, Illustrator InDesign, Acrobat, SolidWorks, Revit, AutoCAD, Bartender.
- Experience in creating 2D and 3D illustrations, including isometric, orthographic, axonometric views.
- Developing perspective illustrations, creating diagrams, and schematics for technical data products.
- Demonstrate the ability to integrate text and graphics.
- Proven track record of excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be flexible, willing, and able to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic, creative and open environment. Must possess the ability to learn, read and understand architectural drawings and technical documentation.
- Ability to perform in a team environment
- Independently able to drive assigned responsibilities
- Blender and Keyshot experience is a plus.
Additional Information:
- This is a full-time, non-exempt/hourly position.
- The hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Early morning, evening, and weekend work may be required as business needs demand.
